Where our family treats you like family

Important COVID-19 Message

Mackarey Physical Therapy is happy to announce that we are OPEN and accepting NEW patients!

Fortunately, our clinic is uniquely designed to keep you safe and socially distant in the following ways:

  1. Along with our spacious gym area, we have 9 private treatment rooms. This allows for adequate distancing throughout a patient’s entire visit.
  2. Our redesigned entry and waiting room allow for social distancing for office personnel, clinic staff, and patients.
  3. We have placed strict limits on the number of patients we treat per hour.
  4. New screening measures such as questionnaires and temperature checks help prevent anyone who may be sick from entering the clinic.

If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to us. We are here to help!

#Sunscreen Tips & Tricks
So, you’re convinced and have decided to keep your skin healthy and youthful – what next? With so many different products on the market, choosing a daily sunscreen can become a difficult task. Here are a few pointers:
• Look for the words “broad spectrum” or “UVA/UVB” on the label – this will ensure you are protecting yourself from all of the sun’s damaging effects
• Chose a product that is #water-resistant if you anticipate sweating or swimming.
• Don’t stress over #SPF. SPF stands for “sun protection” factor. An SPF 15 sunscreen blocks over 90% of UV rays. What’s more important is re-applying periodically throughout the day.
• Don’t let the cold weather fool you – while they may not feel warm, the suns rays are still penetrating the layers of your skin.
• Wear sunscreen even when it’s cloudy – harmful UV rays are invisible and are able to pass through.
• Don’t forget your ears and lips! Some skin cancers are especially common in these areas.

The best place around to go for physical therapy! The therapists are all extremely knowledgable and friendly. Patients really feel welcomed here and are given a thorough understanding of not only how to do their exercises, but why they will be beneficial.

In October 2018 I had a total knee replacement at the age of 40. Prior to the surgery I had high hopes that I would bounce back quickly. However, 2 weeks post surgery I could not bend my leg or function in any daily activities. I was frustrated with my... read more

  • I can honestly say that without them I would not be where I am now. I came in with knee problems when I was younger and they helped to diagnose the real problem when orthopedics couldn't. They were wonderful. I then went back when I had a back injury from... read more
