The professional staff at Mackarey & Mackarey Physical Therapy Consultants have years of clinical experience. In addition to our clinical expertise, our staff are involved in education and research. They have served for decades as faculty members within the University of Scranton’s Physical Therapy Department and in the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. The staff members have also have published and contributed to scientific and clinical research, and have been involved in medical-legal case reviews in the area of physical therapy.
For improved patient outcomes, Mackarey & Mackarey Physical Therapy Consultants emphasizes evidence-based care, which is supported in literature. Patients benefit from evidence-based treatment plans in many ways, and based upon the diagnosis, a well-developed plan can limit the number of visits required to attain rehabilitation goals. In addition, our post-injury and post-operative treatment plans are derived from the most respected teaching, research, and hospital protocols in the country.
Communication is the hallmark of our Practice. We continually monitor each patient and follow-up with appropriate members of the patient’s care team, including the referring physician, family physician, rehabilitation nurse, and other appropriate parties. Written communication is made following the initial evaluation, at 3-4 week progress reports, and upon discharge. In some cases, it is necessary to communicate daily or weekly. To protect your privacy, your health care is confidential and it is protected by HIPPA guidelines. Please refer to our HIPPA policy in this website under the Privacy Policy link.
We encourage ongoing communication, and we always welcome your input and comments.
